Understanding What Rigid and Flexible PCB is

Understanding What Rigid and Flexible PCB is

The use of flexible printed circuit board technology has become more prevalent lately and has seen a considerable surge, it has a lot to do with its benefits in the growing fields of wearable electronics, complex and High Density Interconnect (HDI) devices, and personal medical electronics.  Yun Industrial / ACMS PCB always try to stay ahead of the curve when it comes to trends in the PCB industry, and we like to ensure that our clients have everything they need to do the same. With that in mind this article is meant to help our clients understand our capabilities when it comes to Rigid-Flex PCB Fabrication and PCB Assembly.

To start, we will cover the simple basic facts of a Rigid-Flex PCB. To describe a standard rigid board of FR-4 or other standard PCB Laminate Material, which is attached during the PCB Assembly Process to a thin, flexible PCB of R-F775 material. The flexible portion of the PCB can be used to connect the main rigid PCB to other rigid boards during the PCB Assembly Process, to connect into another device entirely post-production, or sometimes simply to satisfy space or shape constraints.

Yun Industrial / ACMS PCB offers a complete PCB Assembly for Rigid-Flex PCB designs at the same level of quality and confidence that we provide all of our other PCB assembly projects. With rigid-flex PCB designs growing in popularity and demand more every year Yun Industrial / ACMS PCB works hard to keep up with this new demand in the market.

Yun Industrial / ACMS PCB will work with you for all of your flexible circuit board, flexible circuit board assembly needs. We are committed to not only customer satisfaction, but exceeding our customer’s expectations. Our adherence to quality standards is a part of what makes our boards superior to other suppliers.
